New homeowners with young children moving into a 1971 home, eager to take precautions despite the radon reading being only 1.5. No radon system was present, and the space was untouched since move-in.

 

After:
A clean, discreet one-pipe radon mitigation system was installed. We utilized an outlet two feet behind the install site by cutting through drywall and pulling wiring internally — keeping wires hidden and the install tidy.

Before: The initial assessment of this 2005 colonial home revealed an alarming radon level of 8.6 pCi/L, with two unidentified pipes in the foundation. After: With the successful installation of a dual-pipe radon mitigation system utilizing the existing infrastructure, radon levels have been reduced significantly. The system's strategic placement in the utility room optimizes functionality without disrupting the home's aesthetics, ensuring a safe and healthy living environment.

Before: The Stamford home, dating from the 1980s, initially tested for radon levels at 4.5 pCi/L, necessitating a mitigation solution despite the absence of sump pumps or visible cracks. After: Post-installation, the radon mitigation system, aligned with Option 2 from the planning clipboard, effectively reduced radon levels to below the EPA's recommended safety threshold. The installation was seamlessly integrated with the home's existing layout, ensuring that no structural modifications were necessary, thus preserving the integrity and appearance of the property.
