After: Full active radon mitigation system utilizing the existing passive pipe start, routing piping through the Bilco door drywall to connect at the furnace, and installing the fan outside—strategically placed near the water spout while maintaining distance from nearby windows.

Before Installation: The home in Torrington, CT, faced the invisible threat of radon, a common yet hazardous issue in many households. With radon levels above the EPA's recommended safe limit, the homeowners were concerned about long-term health risks and the overall safety of their living environment. After Installation: Post the successful installation of our state-of-the-art radon mitigation system, the same Torrington home now enjoys significantly reduced radon levels, well within safe limits. The homeowners can breathe easier, knowing their home is safer and their family's health is protected. This essential upgrade has not only improved their home's air quality but also its value and safety.

Before and after views of our radon mitigation efforts in a Stratford home reveal the effectiveness of our targeted interventions. Starting with a radon level of 6.9, our solution included sealing the sump pump and installing a one-pipe system to the right of the bilco door. The after images highlight the seamless integration of the system, ensuring a safe and radon-free environment for the home's residents.

This Stratford project demonstrates how radon mitigation can be tailored to homeowner preferences. Initially planned as a two-pipe system with crawl space encapsulation, we adjusted the design to accommodate a simplified one-pipe solution, placed near the oil tank. The before and after photos show how we maintained system effectiveness while respecting the homeowner’s budget and concerns—still protecting against the home’s 9.0 pCi/L radon level.
