One-Point Radon Mitigation System Installed in Washington
Before
The home tested at 8.6 pCi/L, and a radon mitigation system was needed to help reduce indoor radon levels. The basement ceiling was covered with a vapor barrier, and the installation required careful routing near the electrical panel, junction box, and exterior gas meter.
After
A one-point radon mitigation system was installed using the gravel beneath the foundation. The piping exits through the left side of the home, with the exterior route planned to maintain clearance from the gas meter. A Festa Hawk fan provides the suction needed to draw radon from beneath the foundation and vent it outdoors. CRM monitoring may be added as a follow-up.
