Radon Mitigation Photo Album: Radon Mitigation in a Finished Basement - Harwinton, CT
This 1982-built Harwinton home had a radon level of 14 pCi/L—more than three times the EPA action level. With the house under contract and a mostly finished basement, proper radon mitigation was urgent. We installed a two-pipe system running along the cement wall behind the chimney and out near the oil tank. The home has one foundation, no exposed dirt, and no encapsulation. A sump pump and water guard were previously installed by Connecticut Basement Systems, which supported our extraction strategy.
